Some weddings feel inevitable, as if they were always meant to happen exactly there, exactly like this. Maria and Bryan traveled from New York back to Greece, back to roots, faith and family, to celebrate a Greek Orthodox wedding in Athens, followed by a reception by the sea at Island Art and Taste on the Athens Riviera.

The day belonged to tradition first. Their Greek Orthodox ceremony in Athens is the heart of this film: faith and family in the same place, and the sense that this was always where the day would begin. For couples coming home to marry, the church is often the moment that means the most to parents and grandparents, so I give it the time and quiet it deserves in the edit.

A Seaside Reception at Island Art and Taste

Then the celebration moved to the coast, to Island Art and Taste on the Athens Riviera, the seaside venue where most of my Riviera weddings take place. Tradition during the day, pure energy as the sun went down. Their reception by the sea turned into a party that didn’t ask for permission. It simply happened. That contrast, a sacred morning and a wild night, is what gives the film its rhythm.

One Team for Photos and Film
