Four days. One island. A thousand memories. Evelin and Luke’s wedding in Paros was more than a wedding day. It was a four-day celebration of love, friendship, music and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Greek islands, with guests of many nationalities, and this Paros wedding film brings those four days together into one story.

A Four-Day Wedding Celebration on Paros

Evelin and Luke met in Tulum, and theirs is a story of long distance and different cultures, bringing together Hungarian and Italian-American roots. The celebration began with a welcome at Glafkos Taverna by the sea, a string duo played from a balcony, and one night the party moved to an outdoor stone amphitheatre. Planning was by NAIDO Weddings, and my brother, George Liopetas, photographed the celebration.

A Celebration at Orbis Paros

The ceremony took place at a seaside island chapel reached by boat, with an aisle of white and pale blue flowers and white smoke rising at the kiss. The reception followed by the pool at Orbis Paros, the same venue where I filmed Caitlin & Damon’s Paros wedding, with white and blue florals, a live saxophonist and guests waving the flags of their many nations. The speeches came in English and Hungarian, and one of them toasted the couple as the “Italian-American James Bond” and “Hungarian-American Princess Evi”.

Sailing the Aegean with Emmit Fenn

The journey ended in the middle of the Aegean Sea, aboard a catamaran with Emmit Fenn behind the decks: boats rafted together, swimming and dancing on open water. His music also became the soundtrack to this film, bringing the energy and emotion of those four days together. Drone footage is always included in my films, flown where permitted.

Why Paros for a Multi-Day Wedding

Paros has the whitewashed beauty of the Cyclades with a slower, more relaxed rhythm, which makes it ideal for couples marrying from abroad who want their guests to feel like they’re on a real vacation, for one day or for four. As one line in the film puts it: “Life is not made out of grand moments. Life is made out of ordinary days, spent with the people that you love.”
